(5:30 p.m. EST) - In 2016, Carnival Cruise Line will reposition Carnival Liberty and Carnival Breeze to Galveston, with Liberty sailing three- and four-night cruises to Mexico and Breeze sailing weeklong itineraries to the Caribbean, Mexico and Florida.
The 2, 974-passenger Carnival Liberty will begin sailing Mexico cruises March 21, 2016. The three-night weekend sailings will depart Thursdays and stop at Cozumel, while four-night voyages depart Mondays and Saturdays, visiting Cozumel and Progreso.
The 3, 690-passenger Carnival Breeze will sail three different weeklong itineraries beginning December 11, 2016. Western Caribbean sailings call at either Montego Bay, Jamaica; Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands and Cozumel or Belize; Mahogany Bay, Roatan and Cozumel. The Bahamas/Florida itinerary includes Nassau, Freeport and Key West.
Both ships also will operate 11-night cruises in 2016, visiting several Caribbean islands. Liberty will sail from San Juan to Galveston March 6 - 18, 2016, calling on St. Thomas, Barbados, Tobago, Grenada, Aruba and Grand Cayman. Breeze will depart Miami on November 27, 2016, visiting St. Maarten, St. Lucia, Curacao, Aruba and Cozumel before arriving in Galveston December 9, 2016.
